CUBE – Cost and Utilities of Brain research in Europe

The EBC is proposing to work with i3Innovus and other partners on this new study which will follow on from the previous “Cost of Brain Disorders in Europe” study.

Patient-level data on resource use and productivity loss due to 12 major diseases will be collected in 6 countries each representing other countries with similar economies and health care systems. From these directly observed data, values for all countries of Europe and for all of Europe will be estimated.

Pilot studies of the study design and data collection methodology will be carried out to test the methodology in both a mental disorder and a neurological disorder. These protocols will be tested in one or two countries before they are implemented in more countries for the completion of data collection for these disorders.
